Heidelberg Spectralis OCT
Abbreviation for Optical Coherence Technology, OCT is a medical imaging technique that uses light to capture high-resolution cross-sectional images of tissue structure on the micron scale in situ and in real time. Multi-modality imaging with SPECTRALIS® is a unique ophthalmic diagnostic imaging device used primarily to examine the structures of the retina, macula, and optic nerve. It combines technologies like confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (cSLO), spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), Heidelberg Noise Reduction™ & Scan Planning Tool. The SPECTRALIS platform includes multiple models at various price points. The workhorse model in the family is the SPECTRALIS OCT, an economical, easy-to-use version with one-touch pre-set scan patterns and AutoRescan.
